Dr Quickly: She's been suffering from an emotional deficiency that modulated her appetite: amatophagia, the consumption of tokens of love.
Rabid: Like when I would only eat lemons!
Dr Quickly: Having feasted sufficiently on your affections, she is pupating!
Rabid: I have read about this in the science magazines!
Dr Quickly: Having "pupated", she "imagines" -- no longer a transitional pupa or initial larva but a sexually mature imago. Hot stuff!
Rabid: I knew things would turn out well!!
