Every civilized planet has at least one gelateria. Dr Quickly returns from space and gives lectures on his experiences.
As an example of the piecemeal way I put this together, when Dr Quickly saw his true self in the reflection I had no idea that would be relevant in the sixth panel here.

Dr Quickly: That was an unexpected expectoration... Hopefully this planet has what I need to make the repairs to my spaceship. Dr Quickly: Just what I needed to make the repairs to my spaceship! FXRGLTRT: YOUR MONEY IS WORTHLESS ON THIS PLANET Dr Quickly: So how can I pay for my sundae? FXRGLTRT: ... IT'S ON THE HOUSE, INTERSTELLAR TRAVELLER. TELL YOUR FRIENDS! Dr Quickly: My return to Earth was made possible by a generous donation from GELATERIA FXRGLTRT, who make excellent sundaes, although the patio is right on the street. Dr Quickly: Hey, good friends! Come look at this giant jewel I got! Rabish: AH! YOUR RICHES!! Rabid: YES LET'S GO NOW!! Rabid: NOOOOO OUR TRUE AND EVIL COUNTENANCES!!!
