2005-12-16: Transference is a lie

Well, it is.

Transference in the theraputic sense is total bunk. "Getting your anger out" by destroying things only teaches you that it's okay to destroy things when you're angry.

But hey, that filing cabinet is where Rabid stores his cornography SO NOW YOU KNOW WHY HE'S SO ANGRY.

Rabid: GRRR! I'm so ANGRY!!

Rabid: I will release my stress by punching this pillow...

<<PAF!!>>

Rabish: That's really stupid; does doing that help you feel better at all? Violence begets violence...

Rabish: "Through violence you may murder the liar but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth. [... D]arkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that." (Martin Luther King "Strength to Love" 1963)

[[Rabid imagines Rabish as a pillow.]]
Rabish: Why are you looking at me like that?
